Katherine and George got married and lived in Louin, Mississippi. Together, they had William Vester, Grace A, Carlton G, Vardamon C.R., Marvis Walter, Irene R, George M, Robert A.Z., Jackson C, and Mack F. Robert was the third youngest out of nine siblings. He did not graduate high school, only going for two years. All of his family worked and lived on a farm. After Katherine died in 1924, George married Ollie Ann in 1926.

Mack did not finish tenth grade because it was during the Depression, and went to work for the Work Progress Administration. However, he did graduate from Clinton College in Mississippi and worked as the head of a medical lab.
